Lorene Blankenship

Lorene Blankenship, 81, of Pikeville died Sunday, August 26, 2012. She was born August 4, 1931 in Van Buren County to Bill and Mary Mooneyham and was a 1951 graduate of Van Buren County High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Blankenship; grandson, William Dwight Blankenship; parents, Bill and Mary Mooneyham; brothers, Rev. Douglas Haston, Lester Haston and Arlin Mooneyham.

Survivors include her daughter, Teresa (Larry) Farley; sons, James Howard (Bonnie) Blankenship, Billy Wade (Elizabeth) Blankenship, David (Donna) Blankenship and Dwight (Lisa) Blankenship, all of Pikeville; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline VanWinkle of Lavergne and Nida Fay Dodson of Spencer; special family, Stuart, Joyce, Hanna and Coleman Carroll.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 29 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Lee, Bro. Bill Montana and Bro. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial was in Blankenship Cemetery.
