Ida Stoner

Ida Stoner, 91, of Rossville passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at a local health care facility.

A native of Whitwell, she lived the past 29 years in the north Georgia area and was associated with the Rossville Church of Christ. Her passion in life was her family and she loved children dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Stoner; children, John Stoner, Tina McDaniel and James Polk Stoner Jr. “Schwin”; and two brothers, Robert and Lewis Herron. 

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mike Adams of Maumelle, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Travis Stoner of Dunlap and Jason (Natasha) Stoner of Norfolk, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jaiden and Grace Stoner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25 in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Jim Bennett officiating. Burial was in Pea Ridge Cemetery in Henager, Alabama.

Lane Funeral Home of Rossville, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
