Afred Holland

Alfred Holland, 82, of Pikeville died July 12, 2012 at his home.

He was a loving husband and father. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a former fire chief of the Pikeville Volunteer Fire Department.

His parents, Herman and Eva Holland; sister, Marie Gifford; and brothers, Clarence and William Holland, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Etta “Peggy” Holland of Pikeville; daughters, Karen (Buddy) Fisher, Vicki (John Wayne) Sims; grandchildren, Cindy (Melvin) Cordell, Gail Boyd, Justin, Allen Eddy and Larry Fisher, Mandi (Jeff) Harvey, John Michael (Felisha) Sims; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 14 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial was in Pikeville Cemetery.
