Gladys Lucille Lockhart Hobbs

Gladys Lucille Lockhart Hobbs, 92, of Dunlap passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. She was a member of the Church of God for approximately 70 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Hobbs; daughters, Glennis Johnson and Avonelle Stewart; parents, Jesse and Maude Smith Lockhart; brothers, Roy, Wilburn, Jim and Alex Benny Lockhart; sisters, Alene Lockhart, Willie Jo Merriman and Dorthy Snell; granddaughter, Norma Smith; grandson, Timmy Hendon; and great-grandson, Joshua Farley.

Survivors include her children, Anna Faye Harmon, Norman “Sonny” (Velma) Hobbs, Alma Ruth Johnson, Johnny (Anna Ruth) Hobbs, Connie (Mike) Krider, Grady Bryan (Phyllis) Hobbs and Tina (Jimmy) Newman, all of Dunlap; brothers, Jerry Randal (Gail) Lockhart and Jack Earl (Geisla) Bowling, both of Dunlap; 28 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 2 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tony White officiating.

Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
