Mary Grace Kelly

Mary Grace Kelly, loving wife and mother, 84, of Dunlap died Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2012 at NHC health care facility in Dunlap.

She was a member of Dunlap United Methodist Church, Cherokee Chapter OES 301, charter member of the Dunlap Garden Club, was active with the American Red Cross Blood Mobile and was a member of the World War II Memorial Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Hallie Belle Layne.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Kelly; two daughters, Mary Jim (Charles) Kelly Cogdill of Cleveland and Susan (Lynn) Merriman of Dunlap; son, Chip (Jill) Kelly of Dunlap; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Layne of Dunlap and Patsy Jones of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Carcinoid Cancer Foundation, 333 Mamaroneck Avenue #492, White Plains, New York 10605 or The American Cancer Society Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge, 2609 River Road, New Orleans, LA 70121.

Services were held Saturday, February 25 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doug Silvers officiating.

Burial was in Kelly Family Cemetery.
