Effie Prater Davis

Effie Prater Davis, 90, of Dunlap passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Davis; parents, Arthur and Emma Johnson Prater; and sister, Rena Myers.

Survivors include her daughters, Treva Dennis and Joann Harmon, both of Dunlap, and Gayle (Ervin) Wright of Pikeville; brother, Landon (Connie) Prater of Pikeville; sisters, Christine King of Dunlap and Nora Blaylock of Altamont; aunt, Fronie Hennessee of Spencer; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 19 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Daggat officiating. Burial was in Cagle Cemetery.
