Roy “James” Fields

Roy “James” Fields, 73, of Dunlap, passed away November 13, 2011 at his home. He was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.

Fields was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar “Chief” and Lelia Pursley Fields; brother, Johnny Fields; and sisters, Sue Proctor and Betty Laymon.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Beene Fields of Dunlap; daughters, Joy (Robert) Kilgore of Dunlap, and Wendy (Michael) Craft of Chattanooga; son, Steven (Lisa) Fields of Dunlap; nine grandchildren; and a very faithful companion, Drifter.

Funeral services were held November 15 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tom Tucker officiating. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to one of James’ favorite organizations, Prevent a Litter Connection, P.O. Box 176, Madisonville, TN 37354, would be greatly appreciated.
