Bobby Richard Wallace

Bobby Richard Wallace, 68, of Dunlap died peacefully at home with his family lovingly around him.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cartwright, a retired coal miner and maintenance director of NHC of Sequatchie County, and an avid sportsman, having played with the Kansas City Athletics Minor League team. He also played a variety of positions in sports such as a quarterback in football, pitcher in baseball and a center in basketball. He coached his children and others for many years. He wanted to be remembered as a child of God, loving father and husband.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Wallace Jr. and Ollie Hargis Wallace; and brother, Kelly Ray Wallace.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Wallace; son, Rick (Scarlett) Wallace; daughters, Tab (Tony) Tate and Denise Bradford; grandchildren, Hunter, Wallace, Chasity, Payton and Destini Carlton, Ashley, Maritta and Hannah Hickey; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Lamb; brother, Frankie (Buddy) Wallace; uncles, J.T. Hargis, Donnie Hargis and Tommy Wallace; and aunts, Leana Bach and Ruby Mosley.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 7 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Burgess officiating. Burial was in Bryant Cemetery.
