Don Franz Miller
Don Franz Miller, 67, of Pikeville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to bow hunt, go fishing, and ride horses. He also enjoyed music and even loved to sing a tune himself every now and then.
He served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Franz and Sara Elizabeth Miller; son, Harvey Christopher Felts; and a nephew, Terry Myers.
He is survived and will be missed by his wife of 22 years, Alene Miller; daughters, Pamela (David) Roberson of Dunlap, Alicia Perez of Murfreesboro, Melody (Tim) Anderson of Smithville, Brandy Higgenbotham of McMinnville; son, Charles David Young of North Carolina; sisters, Peggy (Robert) Myers and Davine (Bill) Brasher of Fairfield Glade; grandchildren, Sam, Dakota, Savannah, Tre’shan, Diego and Don; niece, Lisa Riddle of Crossville; and a nephew, Joshua Nye of Knoxville; and many special friends.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to speak or share some memories can take the opportunity to do so at that time.
Memorial contributions can be made in his honor to the Wheeler Elementary School Library.
