Willard Byrd

Willard Byrd, 89, of Pikeville died Thursday, September 1, 2011. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Madyson Vincent; four sisters, Adeline Conatser, Dona Smith, Rachel Smith and Katherine Franklin; and three brothers, John, Edward and James Allen Byrd.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Betty “Bet” Byrd; two daughters, Merry (Clay) Greer and Judy (Jim) Vincent, both of Dunlap; three sons, Ronnie (Diana) Byrd of Pikeville, Danny (Dorcas) Byrd of Dunlap and Ricky (Donna) Byrd of Pikeville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 4 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T.A. Smith officiating.

Burial was in Collier Cemetery.
