Samuel Snyder

Samuel Snyder, 78, of Dunlap passed away on Tuesday, July 26. He drove a Sequatchie County school bus for 28 years and filled in for 15 more years.

He was preceded in death by two children, Judy and Raymond Snyder; parents, George and Lizzie Snyder; three brothers, Marshell, Melvin and Riley Snyder; and four sisters, Nora Snyder, Thelma Stewart, Julie Marie Crowe and Eve Mikel.

He is survived by his and Joyce Snyder’s children, Jerry (Carol) Snyder of Soddy Daisy, David Snyder of Sale Creek, Dean (Foster) Stewart of Dunlap and Sue West Snyder of Dayton; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edward (Girtie Mae) Snyder of Graysville and Jasper (Helen) Snyder of Soddy Daisy; one sister, Norma Jean Swanger of Dunlap and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 28 at Lewis Chapel Church of God with Rev. Lenard Sutherland officiating.

Burial was in Taft Harvey Cemetery.
