Diane Reed Freeman
Diane Reed Freeman, 44, of Pikeville passed away on June 28, 2011 after losing a brave battle with cancer. She was a kindergarten teacher at Mary V. Wheeler School and a volunteer with the Bledsoe County Rescue Squad. Freeman was a member of First Baptist Church of Pikeville.
She is survived and will be missed by her parents, J.L. and Carolyn Reed; sons, Andrew (Christa) Freeman and Sandy (Ginger) Freeman; granddaughter, Catie Alexandra “Catiebug” Freeman; brother, J.L. Reed, Jr.; sisters, Deborah Reed, Sue Tullos, and Callie Denise Reed; special friends and caregivers, Janet Hale and Peggy Davis; and many close friends, acquaintances, and fellow teachers.
A Celebration of Her Life officiated by Bro. Jimmy Williams was held in the funeral home chapel on July 1. Burial was in Rankin Cemetery.
