Laurence H. “Larry” Clagett, 91, of Melbourne, Florida died at his home, Tuesday, May 10, 2011.
He was born in Gaithersburg, Maryland on April 24, 1920 and was married to the late Laura Mae Campbell Clagett. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Jerry (Ann) Hudson of Portland, Oregon; four granddaughters, Judy (Harris) Matarazzo, Laura (Kevin) Velgersdyk, Janet (John) Crothers and Angela (Todd) Doran; 11 great-grandchildren; special friend, Kit Layman of Melbourne, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 15 in the funeral home chapel with minister Freddie Clayton officiating.
Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell.
