I.G. Christian

I.G. Christian, 87, of Dunlap died Tuesday morning, May 10, 2011 at his home. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ at Daus. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanetta Farley Christian; parents, Jess and Athelia Lytle Christian; brothers, Clayton, Waymon, Edward and Walace Christian; and sister, Olean Moore.

Survivors include his daughter, Geraldine (Roger) Johnson of Dunlap; sons, Donald (Mary) Christian of San Angelo, Texas, Alfred (Gail) Christian, Steve (Mary) Christian and Earnest (Kay) Christian, all of Dunlap; brother, J.C. Christian of Dunlap; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 13 in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Jack Nichols officiating.

Serving as pallbearers were Roger Linville, Raymond Linville, Ronnie Linville, Nicklas Christian, Darren Christian, Cody Griffith and Calvin Bowman.

Burial was in Welch’s Chapel Cemetery.
