Sarah Lewis

Sarah Mae Lewis, 88, of Dayton died Monday, April 11, 2011 at Life Care of Rhea County.

She was born August 3, 1922 in Sequatchie County to the late Anderson and Nancy (Sims) Harvey. She  lived in Dayton most of her life and was a homemaker. She was of the Church of God faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Lewis; and parents. 

She is survived by her sons, Charles (Wanda) Lewis of Spring City, Carlos (Margaret) Lewis of Graysville, Michael Lewis of Hixson, Alvin (Brenda) Lewis and Eddie Lewis, both of Dayton; daughters, Barbara (Alan) Cummings of Hixson, Shirley Lewis and Glenna Lewis, both of Dayton; sister, Bonnie Seals of Dunlap and many grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Larry Eastman officiating.

A graveside service and burial was held Wednesday, April 13 at Davis Cemetery.
