Harold Girdley

Harold Allen Girdley Sr., 66, of Dunlap died March 30, 2011 at his home. He was retired from Tennessee Consolidated Coal and Girdley Mining. His retirement time was devoted to his grandchildren, wife and family, following Sequatchie County football and talking with his friends via Citizens Band Radio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Ed and Estelle Smith Girdley; brothers, Johnny Girdley, Donald Girdley and Franklin D. Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Girdley; daughter, Jackie Mabey; sons, Jr. Girdley and Danny Girdley, all of Dunlap; grandchildren, Christopher Mabey, Chase Girdley, Colin Mabey and Jadeyn Girdley; great-grandson, Caleb Mabey and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bryan Daniels officiating.

Burial was in Bryant Cemetery.
