Bill Land

William Delano “Bill” Land, 76, of Dunlap succumbed to lung cancer at his home, Monday, February 28, 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Virgie Tate Land; sister, Loretta Neely; brother, Marion Land; and son-in-law, Donnie Seals.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Loretta Rucker Land; three children, Clifford (Sara) Land and Carmen McMichael of Pigeon Forge and Lila Seals of Dunlap; one brother, Lewis (Opal) Land of McMinnville; two sisters, Eva Underhill of McMinnville and Inez Short of Nashville; nine grandchildren, Melissa Land, Jess (Tauney) Land, Nathan (Tracy) Land, Andrew Land, Heather (Thomas) Ogle, Letitia Seals, Gary Lee McMichael, Corinne (Greg) Keener and Jeremiah McMichael; 12 great-grandchildren, Lacey, Haley and Jonathan Ogle, Tyler Gilliam, Ben and Alex Myers, Jackson Powell, Tristan McMichael, Megan and Keaton Keener, Pamela McMichael and Benjamin Land; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m. CST at Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church with Bro. Howell Whited and Clifford Land officiating.
