William Eugene Berninger

William Eugene Berninger, Sr., 93, of Whitwell died at NHC in Dunlap on Thursday, February 24, 2011. He was a retired Methodist minister/teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and wife, Katherine Beaver Berninger.

Survivors include his three sons, William Berninger, Jr. of Chattanooga, Donald (Diane) Berninger of Woodbury and David (Karen) Berninger of Whitwell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Monday, February 28 at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Bro. John Helenthal officiating.
