Barry Allen Templeton, 38, of Chattanooga passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at his home from brain cancer.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy and three years in the Naval Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his adopted mother, Shirley Templeton, adopted brother, Terry Templeton and adopted sister, Darlene Wilkey.
He is survived by his wonderful, caring fiancé Melissa Howe; mother, Lynda Lawrence Crawford; stepdad, Eddy Crawford; father, Paul Allen Moats; grandmother, Ruby Hicks; son, Michael Chase Lynch; brother, Gregory Lee Muir; stepbrother, Timmy Crawford; stepsister, Tonya Crawford; uncles, Carl (Lelinda) Barton, Bill (Martha) Johnson, Freddy (Shurlene) Johnson; nieces and nephews, August, Liliana, Milley, Carissa, Issac Crawford, Danielle and Sara Muir and Tyler Chadwick; several cousins, nieces and nephews; best friends, Jeff Towsend and Wade Lingerfelt; adopted father, Obie Templeton, a man with many great ways of loving children; stepmother Suzie Templeton; adopted sister, Belinda (Curt) Stephens; adopted brother, Kenny Wilkey; adopted niece Shellie McFall; and stepbrother, Tim Williams.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 14 in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jeff Brown officiating.
Burial was in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Ryan Funeral Home of Trenton, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
