Eva Phipps Meeks

    Eva Phipps Meeks passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester.

    She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hallie Campbell Phipps and was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Meeks; sister, Rosa Lee Phipps; brother, Sam Phipps; and grandchild, Garrett Stanley Meeks.

    Survivors include her children, Kenneth Meeks of Manchester, Linda M. Roberts of Kimball, Carol M. Gilliam of Manchester and Myra Jean Meeks of Tracy City; brothers, Damon Phipps of Signal Mountain, Wayne Phipps of Cohutta, Georgia and Allen Phipps of Chattanooga; sister, Jane Kelly of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    Graveside services were held Friday, December 3 in Coalmont Cemetery with Brother Ray Winton and Reverend Clayton Jones officiating.

    Foster and Lay Funeral Home of Tracy City was in charge of arrangements.
