Willie Don Moore

    Willie Don Moore, 62, of Dunlap, passed away November 5, 2010.

    He was a member of Ewtonville Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army, 25th infantry division in Vietnam, and was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 203. He worked for Tennessee Consolidated Coal Company until its closing, and then retired from Vulcan Materials in Chattanooga.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Jo Ellen Layne Moore and special great-niece, Brook Christian.

    Survivors include his wife, Leann Austin Moore; son, Donnie Moore; daughter, Carrie (Jeff) Johnson; granddaughter, Shayla Johnson; brothers, Wayne (Donna) Moore and Mike (Kathleen) Moore, all of Dunlap; sister, Linda (Evon) Smith of Soddy-Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services were held November 8 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Dishman and the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 203. Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
