Geneva Custer

    Pearl “Geneva” Hickey Custer, 83, of Dunlap went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Erlanger Medical Center.
    Born on May 6, 1926, she was a lifelong resident of Dunlap, member of Ewton-ville Baptist Church, graduate of Sequatchie County High School and a retired dental assistant for the late Dr. Marvin Woodard of Signal Mountain.
    She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. and Pearl Hickey; brothers, Charles Hickey and James Edgar Hickey; and sister, Susella Seals.
    Survivors include her only son, Donald R. (Pat) Custer; brother, Avery (Gwen) Hickey; sister, Cecile Goolsby; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 17 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brian Kearns officiating.
    Burial was in Sequatchie County Memorial Gardens.
