Cecil R. Brown

    Cecil R. Brown, 78, of Whitwell died Monday morning, June 1, 2009.
    She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Bice; and parents, John and Catherine Farley.
    Survivors include her husband, Larry Patten; daughter, Patsy Bice of Whitwell; two sons, Roger Bice and A.L. Bice of Dunlap; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Lula Ward of Dunlap and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 4 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Potts officiating.
    Burial will be in Griffith Creek Cemetery.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m.
