Euel Mahoney

    Euel Randall Mahoney, 78, of Clarksville died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Gateway Medical Center.
    Born May 8, 1930 in Chattanooga, he was the son of the late Oscar Mahoney and Della Daughtery Mahoney. He was retired from the United States Army, served a tour in the United States Air Force and was director-administrator of Drug and Alcohol Abuse Programs.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy LaFever Mahoney; three sons, Anthony (Alisa) Mahoney of West Point, New York, Dana (Chris) Mahoney and Scott (Cheryl) Mahoney, both of Clarksville; a daughter, Terry Baker of Clarksville; two brothers, Phillip Mahoney of North Carolina and Paul Mahoney of Dunlap; a sister, Ruby Duggan of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren, Ricky, Jeremy, Tyler, Gareth, Cody, Reese-Anna, Kellie and Brittney; and two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Elijah.
    Grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Room At The Inn, c/o Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 709 Franklin Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
    Funeral services were held Thursday, May 7 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Ed Steiner officiating.
    Burial was in Kentucky Veteran Cemetery-West with full military honors.
