A meth lab was uncovered and a Dunlap woman was arrested on Friday, July 9, reports Sequatchie County Sheriff Ronnie Hitchcock.
A traffic stop had been made by Detective Cody Smith of the Dunlap Police Department led authorities to the meth lab discovery. Christy Hudson, of Dunlap, was arrested and charged with the promotion of meth and manufacturing of meth after new information and meth products were found.
The meth lab was discovered at 2442 Fredonia Road, where the Sequatchie County Sheriff’s Department, Dunlap Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Tennessee Meth Task Force worked together to investigate the drugs.
“It was a ‘shake and bake’ style lab, which was inspected by lab technicians and a HAZMAT crew,” explained Hitchcock.
Hudson is currently being held in Sequatchie County awaiting a court appearance. She had not been able to post bond as of July 12.
