After arresting one man under the influence of drugs, two others were tied to the promotion of meth manufacturing, reports Sequatchie County Sheriff Ronnie Hitchcock.

Tyler D. Shannon, 20, of McMinnville; Patrick A. Bryant, 19, of McMinnville; and Natasha Lynn Bryant, 22, of Soddy Daisy were arrested for the drug charges on Sunday, June 27.

Detective Jody Lockhart was inside Wal-Mart when he observed Shannon in the store. In the report, Lockhart stated Shannon looked to be under the influence of narcotics.

While talking to Shannon, he told Lockhart he had drugs hidden on his person. Shannon retrieved six blister packs of pseudo ephedrine before his arrest.

Lockhart called Deputy Chris Walker to stop a Chevy vehicle on U.S. Highway 127. The officer was given consent to search from Patrick and Natasha Bryant, noted Hitchcock.

“During the search, many items that are known in the manufacturing of meth was found inside the vehicle,” Sheriff Hitchcock said. “The items were found inside the vehicle and in the trunk, as well as on the defendants themselves.”

The trio was taken to the Sequatchie County Jail and charged with promoting meth manufacture. Officers interviewed the suspects who admitted to buying the products for the manufacturing of methamphetamines.

They are currently awaiting a court appearance, noted Sheriff Hitchcock.
