With a court docket flooded by traffic violations, one case stood out at Sequatchie County General Sessions Court last Friday, December 4. Michel Dwight Redden was found guilty of driving under the influence (DUI). He was ordered to serve an 11-month, 29-day sentence under supervised probation, suspended over 48 hours in jail. Redden is scheduled to report to jail December 28 at 9:00 p.m. to begin the 48 hours. Redden was ordered to pay a fine of $350 plus court costs, which he is required to pay $100 per month toward the total cost. His charges of possession of schedule IV drugs (marijuana) and financial responsibility were dismissed. In other cases, Jesse Kyle Cranmore was ordered to pay a fine of $10 plus court costs for his charge of financial responsibility, along with a fine of $20 for not wearing a seatbelt. He was given until February 19. Roger Daren Easterly was ordered to pay a fine of $20 for not wearing a seatbelt plus attend Defensive Driving School for speeding. His charge of driver’s license violation was dismissed. Marcus Keith Mayfield was ordered to pay a fine of $20 for not wearing a seatbelt, and his charges of muffler law and bumper law were dismissed. Angelica L. Daniels was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding, while her charges of registration violation, financial responsibility and expired driver’s license were dismissed. Maranda Hickman Hamblen was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding, while her charge of expired insurance was dismissed. Johnathan Bryant Lawson’s charges of driver’s license violation and financial responsibility were dismissed. He was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding. Paula Annette Hallman was given until December 15 to provide proof of a registration and insurance to dismiss her charges of registration violation and financial responsibility. She was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding. Joshua Anthony Loveless’ order of no motorcycle license was dismissed, while his charge of speeding earned him an order to attend Defensive Driving School. Shannon Levern Morrow was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding. Her charges of expired registration and financial responsibility were dismissed. Glenda G. Parks was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding. Her charges of driver’s license violation and financial responsibility. Lisa A. Ebersole was ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding, and she was ordered to fax a proof of her registration by December 15 to dismiss her charge of registration violation. Andrew M. Griswold and David W. Mitchell were ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding, while their driver’s license violation charges were dismissed. Melissa S. Magourik, Toni Nicole Ledbetter and Rickie Alan Hayes’ charges of financial responsibility were dismissed, while their charges of speeding earned them an order to attend Defensive Driving School. Ordered to attend Defensive Driving School for speeding were Daniel A. Annear, Stacie J. Brewster, Christopher Jack Campbell, John William Condra, Bryan A. Dodd, Colby Joel Green, Lorie Harmon, Michael Christopher Harvey, James Grayson Jr., John R. Henke Jr., Emily Susan Jones, Terra Renee Keylon, Kimberly A. Layne, Schandra C. Loveless, Virginia A. Martin, Richard James McBride, Robert Wayne Miller, Charles M. Morgan, Bruce M. Parkman, Kathryn E. Pittman, Robert S. Putman, Jeremy T. Robinson, Malorie Brooke Tucker, and Robert J. Wenig. Dismissed cases included charges of driver’s license violation, registration violation, light law, financial responsibility, seatbelt, expired registration, expired insurance, mudguards, following too close, improper passing, and expired driver’s license.
