    After making a traffic stop for speeding, law enforcement officials found a man with blank government documents, possibly used to forge identification cards.
    According to Chief Clint Huth, Officer Lynn Lewis stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 127 and found the passenger to have an active arrest warrant from Sequatchie County General Sessions Court for failing to appear in court.
    The passenger, John A. Patterson, 21, of Dunlap, was found to be in possession of a large number of various blank government documents, including driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, Immigration and Naturalization cards, International driver’s licenses, and identification cards from Tennessee, Ohio, Missouri, Mexico and Guatemala. Other types of blank government documents were also discovered, noted Huth.
    Patterson was arrested for criminal simulation and transported to the Sequatchie County Justice Center. Dunlap Police Detective Keith Herron is continuing the investigation for the incident and the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been notified, noted Huth. Patterson is scheduled to appear in Sequatchie County General Sessions Court on Friday, November 20.
    According to the report, the driver of the vehicle was not charged.
