Fatal wreck on 111 Friday morning

The identity of the man involved in a crash on US Highway 111 early Friday morning, March 17, has been released as  David L. Tucker, 41, of Dunlap. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol. Sgt. David Roark’s report, Tucker was driving a 2007 Honda vehicle that struck the rear of a Mack dump truck hauling sand around 6:30 a.m. on Lewis Chapel Mountain. Don R. Sims of Dunlap was driving the dump truck, and received injuries, stated the Trooper’s report. A third vehicle, driven by William J. Gossett, 26, of Dunlap was involved in the wreck. Gossett escaped injury, according to the report. Highway 111 was closed for a few hours until the debris could be removed from the roadway, added Sequatchie County Sheriff Ronnie Hitchcock.

    My prayers are going out to these families…especially the one that lost his life. May God be with his family and friends and give them peace and comfort.
